Meet Tamara Stevenson
A Denver massage therapist with a nursing background, focused on helping clients understand the patterns behind their pain and get more meaningful relief from treatment.

A more clinical, personalized approach
Founder, Colorado Advanced Massage
Tamara Stevenson built Colorado Advanced Massage around a simple idea: many people in pain do not need a routine massage, they need a session that pays attention to how their body is compensating. That means looking at patterns, not just sore spots.
Tamara received her massage training at the Evergreen School of Healing Arts in Colorado in 1982. She has been an AMTA member since 1999, received National Certification in 2001, and spent seventeen years in nursing after graduating from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Emily Griffith Opportunity School in 1989.
The practice also reflects Tamara's belief that education matters. Clients should understand what is driving their symptoms, what the treatment is addressing, and what realistic progress looks like over time.

What clients can expect
Sessions are collaborative, body-aware, and treatment-driven. The goal is not to overwhelm the tissue. The goal is to create useful change: better movement, less reactivity, and a clearer path forward for pain relief.
